Virtual Season

ATTENTION

To Our Audience and Supporters,

Regrettably, Opus One's Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone all of our remaining Season 8 events. This means that we are in the process of rescheduling both Love Divine and Circle of Life for next season. It was a very hard decision but for the safety of our singers and audience members, no other choice was possible.

Comfort does come from the fact that we are not alone. All artistic organizations have been dealt the same blow, in our community and throughout the nation. Now is the time to remain vigilant, united, and positive. So - that is what we are going to do! Music is one of those wonderfully mysterious aspects of humanity that has the power to connect us, even when are apart. Opus One asks that you stay connected with us and all other artistic organizations you have previously supported and if you are able, make a contribution. Your help is needed now more than ever!

Op.1 - MODERN SALON

Though we will not be able to gather together in person for some time, distance can't stop us from making music! In this case, technology can help us stay connected and share great repertoire with each other. We are excited to announce an upcoming free "in-home"benefit recital by Christopher Hoster (director) and Geert Ruelens (accompanist) entitled MODERN SALON. This 40 minute online concert event will feature vocal music from the 16th through 18th centuries and be accompanied by lute, harpsichord, organ, and fortepiano. And, the best part is, you can view it ON YOUR SCHEDULE!

To access this concert, please visit: https://opusoneberkschamberchoir.ticketspice.com/opusonemodernsalon
(A $10 donation is suggested). From this website, you will be emailed a confirmation, including instructions on how to view the recital. Viewing will be made available from May 3 through May 9.

Masterwork Chorus - ELIJAH
Season 9 is just around the corner and preparations are already under way. Our next major project will be the Masterwork Chorus singing Mendelssohn's Elijah in October at Christ Episcopal (in collaboration with Berks Youth Chorus). It will be an awesome experience. Please inform any fellow singers from the area that they are welcome to join us (by audition). To view more information, please visit our "Ensembles" page, under the "About Us" tab.

Thank you all for your dedication and support of Opus One. We hope you all stay safe and well. If you have any questions, please contact info@opusonechamberchoir.com
